Lowry Theatre Wedding - Rachel & Marcel

Updated: Mar 19, 2020

We began Rachel & Marcel's wedding day with bridal prep at Rachel's Grandparents house. Snacks & fizz flowing, the atmosphere was so lovely and chilled, the day was set to be perfect!

The sun did shine at intervals throughout the morning and so we grabbed an opportunity to jump into the garden for some group bridal party photos! Zyra Rose was the star of the morning amongst the ladies, trying on Mummy's Stella McCartney heels and posing for some photos - she was a little angel to work with.

Onto the groomsmen who were getting ready around the corner at Marcel & Rachel's home. They seemed a little more jittery than the girls so a round of shots it was (and a shot of orange cordial for bride & grooms son Luca!).

Back to the ladies and it was time to get dressed. We did a 'first look' father of the bride shot which was lovely and then it was onto the church, St John's RC in Chorlton.

Marcel was holding it together until he saw his little girl arrive at the church which definitely broke him and who can blame him! Then onto Rachel's arrival, tissues at the ready, it was an emotional reunion for them both. From being childhood sweethearts this wedding has been long awaited for the two of them and it was made even more special with Rachel having baby bump number three tucked away in her breathtakingly beautiful wedding dress.

Confetti shots straight after the ceremony then onto the venue which was at The Lowry Theatre. We attempted to go out onto the Quays bridge but the weather decided otherwise and was abit grim so we headed back inside and got some shots at the Box Office and a few family ones around the venue.

Onto the wedding breakfast and then the speeches, which where fantastic. These speeches were so heartfelt and the room was just full of love, all day, just so much love.

Day flowed into night and the new Mr & Mrs Mckenzie took to the dance floor for their first dance to Alicia Keys - If I aint got you.

The evening celebrations where filled with SO SO SO much fun, I had a mega time photographing dance battle after dance battle, it was insane.

Rachel & Marcel, thank you for having me, I wish you a lifetime of love & happiness. Exciting times ahead for when 4 becomes 5.

Lauren x
