It was second time lucky for George & Meg's big day. After an originally planned 2020 wedding, it turns out postponing by a year meant these gorgeous two were getting married on their 10 year anniversary, which made the new date even more special.
When I arrived at the venue there were fairy lights and a big roaring fire. For me, December is filled with so much love, excitement and magic which totally added to the buzz of the morning.
Bridal prep was in full swing in a separate area called The Lodge which was a beautiful space to get ready. Breakfast, laughs and some very hit & miss Prosecco popping, the day was off to a great start. After some time with the ladies I met the fella's for some prep shots, they were relaxing in the bar with a few drinks and seemed calm and collected!
Now, back to Meg, who hands down had the best Dad-of-the-Bride 'first look' reaction I've ever witnessed - such a special moment which I think really reflects in the gallery, the close relationship. The morning was super chill and we glided into the afternoon no problems at all and before we knew it, the time had arrived to get hitched.
It was a hop, skip & a jump to the ceremony room were George was nervously waiting. The vows were beautiful and so was the service, a reading from big sis and then topped off by best man Al breaking the ice (lantern) with everyone, it was time to party.
We headed outdoors for a confetti shot and family portraits. 21st December is actually the winter solstice so was the shortest day of the year which meant we had a super tight time frame for couple shots but we flew through these and it took us nicely into the wedding breakfast and speeches. Food time then evening celebrations soon rolled in and these guys knew how to DANCE.
Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day.
