Stephen & Lindsay's wedding day began with beautiful, bright, blue April skies.
I met with the Groomsmen first thing at Irlam Station for breakfast and beer, then headed to photograph bridal prep with Lindsay, her bridesmaid Louise, Mum and daughters Poppy & Matilda in Hollins Green. A fab morning was had with lots of laughs and plenty of bubbles flowing.
The wedding venue was somewhere that I have wanted to photograph for a long time, so I was really excited to get there. The Monastery is a hidden gem in the small Manchester town of Gorton. It is breathtaking - when you first walk in what strikes you are the incredibly high arched ceilings and the daylight pouring in through the stained glass windows. It was the fairytale setting for a wedding ceremony.
Lindsay & Ste beamed and giggled the whole way through their vows, it was so contagious and you couldn't help but smile from beginning to end.
Straight after the ceremony we went into the courtyard for confetti and family shots. The sun continuing to shine, which complimented the pictures nicely!
Ste is a firefighter so had arranged for his colleagues from Gorton Fire Station to pay a visit for pictures with the Fire Engines, what an amazing addition to the day.
Lindsay had not only arranged a wedding in 4 months, but she had also set herself the mammoth task of making her OWN 3 tier wedding cake - and she nailed it. See pics for evidence!!
Onto the wedding breakfast which was decorated so elegantly. Speeches done and the evening entertainment began with cake cutting and first dance.
Thank you to Lindsay & Ste for allowing me to capture an utterly perfect day, its a pleasure to be a part of it and I wish you all of the happiness in the world.
